Therona — Engineered To Perform.
Perform Without The Heat.
Thermal performance engineered for athletes and demanding conditions.
The Problem
Heat Is Part Of The Performance Equation.
Demanding physical activity in warm environments creates thermal discomfort that athletes have to manage alongside training, fuelling, and recovery. As effort and ambient temperature rise together, staying comfortable becomes another variable in the performance equation — one Therona is built to help you manage.
Sports Science
PCM. Phase-Change Technology.
PCM stands for Phase Change Material — a substance engineered to absorb heat as it undergoes a phase transition, providing controlled cooling around its designed phase-change temperature. It's the same core science behind thermal-management technology used across performance and industrial applications. The panels inside the Therona vest are reusable: once a charge runs low, recharge them and the effect starts again.
How It Works
Four Steps To Performing Cooler.
01
Prepare
Recharge the PCM panels in 0°C ice water (~20 min) or a freezer (~35 min) ahead of your session.
02
Wear
Put on the adjustable vest — a low-profile fit designed to move like training kit.
03
Perform
Use it during demanding activity, however hard the conditions push you.
04
Recharge
Prepare it again for repeated use — no electricity, just reusable PCM technology.
Built For Controlled Performance.
Four engineering fundamentals behind Therona Core.
Controlled Cooling
PCM technology engineered around a controlled temperature range — built for a stable effect rather than a quick blast that fades.
2–4 Hours
Approximately 2–4 hours of cooling, depending on conditions and PCM configuration.
Reusable
Reusable PCM technology designed for repeated use — recharge the panels and wear it again.
No Condensation
Designed for cooling without condensation, according to supplier specification.

PCM Configuration
Choose Your Cooling Profile.
Available in three PCM temperature configurations. The choice comes down to personal preference, not one option being objectively better.
Real-World Use
Built For Athletes Across Every Discipline.
From football and running to rugby, basketball, cycling and outdoor training in hot-weather conditions — a low-profile fit designed to move with any sport, not just one.
Therona Core is a reusable PCM (Phase Change Material) cooling vest — Therona's first product in a broader thermal-performance line engineered for athletes and demanding conditions.
Built for athletes across football, running, rugby, basketball, cycling and outdoor training in hot-weather conditions — not exclusive to any single sport.
Therona is a sports-performance product, not a medical device. It doesn't replace hydration, rest, or medical care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Technology
Therona Core is a reusable PCM (Phase Change Material) cooling vest — Therona's first product in a broader thermal-performance line for athletes and demanding conditions.
PCM stands for Phase Change Material — a substance engineered to absorb heat as it undergoes a phase transition, similar in principle to how ice absorbs heat as it melts. It's the same core science used across thermal-management technology.
Each panel is charged by cooling it below its phase-change temperature. As you wear the vest, the PCM absorbs heat and holds a controlled cooling effect around its designed temperature — a leak-proof TPU phase-change material contains it throughout.
Approximately 2–4 hours of cooling, depending on conditions and PCM configuration.
These refer to the PCM's phase-change temperature — the configuration of the cooling material itself, not a claim about your body temperature. 18°C offers a colder cooling profile, 23°C sits in between, and 28°C offers a longer-lasting cooling profile.
It comes down to personal preference rather than one option being objectively better: choose 18°C for a colder effect, or 28°C if you'd rather the cooling last longer. 23°C is a balance between the two.
Using It
Recharge the PCM panels in 0°C ice water or a freezer ahead of your session, then wear the vest as normal. Once the charge runs low, recharge it the same way and it's ready to go again.
Approximately 20 minutes in 0°C ice water.
Approximately 35 minutes in a freezer.
No — the vest is designed for cooling without condensation, according to supplier specification. This doesn't prevent natural sweating during exercise.
Yes — reusable PCM technology designed for repeated use. Recharge the panels and wear it again.
Yes to all three — the vest is built to be lightweight, breathable, and waterproof, so it can be worn through demanding conditions without adding bulk.
Fit, Sports & Safety
The vest comes in One Size with an adjustable wrist strap and is designed to accommodate different body types.
Yes — the vest is built for athletes across disciplines, including football, running, rugby, basketball, cycling, and outdoor training. It isn't built exclusively for any single sport.
Please check your competition's equipment rules before use — we don't have visibility into every governing body's regulations, so it's worth confirming with your league or organisation first.
Therona is a sports-performance product, not a medical device. It's designed to help manage heat during activity, but it doesn't replace hydration, rest, or medical care. If you have a medical condition or heat-sensitivity concern, speak with a healthcare professional before use.
The supplier states that CE and MSDS documentation are available. We're verifying this documentation before publishing it — check back here once it's confirmed.
